Saw this light behind George Wallace’s scupture at McMaster U one night on the way home from work.  Took a shot and I like the comp.  

I used a John Deer 14″ chainsaw for all of these and a hand grinder for the “detail”.  They were about 1 1/2′ in diameter and approx. 6′ hight, painted and stained with water and acrylic, then treated for outdoor display.  One of the originals was eaten from the inside out by flying wood ants, [...]
