This drawing originally had a dual purpose; the cover of the “issue”, and also the main image to promote the show in the gallery window. This work was heavily influenced by artist Jack Kirby, well regarded for his rough angled mastery of depicting the physiology of some of the world’s most famous super heros. I really needed a classic look to the show that called back to the old serial comics of the 30′s and 40′s. You know, a la George Lucas’ original Indy concepts or “the Spirit”.
